Welcome to Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue Our dogs are placed in foster homes, temperament tested, socialized, and vetted prior to adoption. Our goal is to find the perfect home for each individual dog with the help of their personal representative. Our mission is to find loving, lifetime homes for all Southern California Golden Retrievers in need, regardless of conditions or circumstances. We will always strive to heal the sick and injured, rehabilitate the neglected and abused, and nurture the aged and unwanted until we find the perfect family who will shower them with unconditional love. Our vision is to build a refuge – a sanctuary – to serve as a halfway house where each of our beloved Goldens can rest and recuperate, prior to being placed with a foster or permanent family and moving on in their new lives. Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue is the third largest Golden Retriever Rescue in the country and second-largest in the Western Region. Please note , we have been inundated with adoption applications since reinstating the link on July 1st. We are currently experiencing a high volume of applications versus a significant lack of volunteer coverage due to the current health crisis and ask for your patience and understanding while we assess our situation and determine how to proceed in the most efficient and effective way while keeping our dogs’ best interest in mind For your health and ours, due to the significant health crisis, there are changes to our typical interview process. Further information will be supplied once an Adoption Application has been submitted and a volunteer is in touch. Unfortunately, some areas may lack adequate coverage because of this pandemic. If this affects your Adoption Application, we will do our best to notify you as soon as possible. Unless there are significant changes within the current health crisis, please note that we plan on opening up Adoption Applications on July 1st . We are in desperate need for volunteers in the Orange County area of Southern California. And also in, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Ventura, Camarillo and Oxnard! He suffered a fractured pelvis and tibia, and was transported directly to our orthopedic specialist, Dr. Schulman at Animal Medical Center.
